For our first blog post we have decided to start with a place that's a little close to home. We found many things to do and places to see in Co.Kilkenny but we decided to tell you about a small village called Gowran. Gowran is home to quite a few attractions, the ruins of the church and fountain area, Gowran racecourse , the pitch and putt, and cafes like Teach Mhuire but what really caught our eye was something a little bit different.
Reptile Village Zoo is home to over 120 animals and 50 different species. When you arrive at Reptile Village you get to look around on your own and discover the place. After you've seen the American Alligators, Monocled Cobras, Geckos and Boas and much more, we get to the best part; we get to handle some of the animals. The staff take out Boa Constrictors, Bearded Dragons and even Snapping Turtles! The few hours you spend at Reptile Village are surely memorable if nothing else. So go on, face your fears, and take your own adventure to Co.Kilkenny :)
